Deloitte's Newcastle office has appointed Alastair Wilson and Steven Butler to its corporate tax division.
Mr Wilson, 31, originally from Ballymena, Northern Ireland, lives in Gosforth with his fiance and has taken the position of senior corporate tax manager, having previously worked for KPMG.
He will be working with the management of local businesses to ensure that their corporate, personal and employment tax issues are effectively managed.
Mr Butler, 27, originally from Middlesbrough, has taken the position of corporate tax manager, having previously worked for KPMG following graduation from Newcastle University with a degree in accounting and financial analysis.
He will be working alongside Stuart Cottee, advising some of the region's largest corporations.
He said: "I am hoping to really help drive things forward here and I'm looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead."
Mr Cottee, tax partner at Deloitte's Newcastle office, added: "The appointment of Alastair and Steven has enhanced our corporate tax provision. They are both quality people who have experience that will be valuable to our clients."
