SMALL businesses are being offered the chance to boost their profiles with the help of Darlington College.
Training packages designed to help businesses grow have been developed by the Media Design Centre allowing small and medium-sized enterprises the chance to use the college's expertise and facilities.
The college has teamed up with Business Club North-East, Darlington and District Business Club and the Tees Valley Business Club to offer three-hour workshops in marketing and using the web.
The hands-on training will make use of the centre's television and radio studios as well as the latest computer equipment.
On November 9, a web design course will be run showing how new custom can be attracted using cyberspace to full effect.
A second course, on November 14, will show business people how to improve their interview techniques and a workshop on November 16 will explore the best use of search engines.
On November 21, a session will be held on marketing and developing a business plan, while on November 23, a workshop will be run on defining the market and finding customers.
