A COUPLE who are raising money in memory of their son who died from an asthma attack have been given an extra donation.
Ruth Fleming and partner Nick Martin have raised £5,000 for Midlands Asthma and Allergy Research Association (Maara) after nine-year-old Jacob Fleming died from an unexpected attack in May last year.
The couple are trying to raise £50,000 to buy a bronchoscope, which provides vital relief to asthma sufferers.
In September, Mr Martin lifted 50 tonnes throughout one day at Bannatyne's Heath Club, in Darlington, and Ms Fleming completed a 50km walk on a treadmill at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.
Now Bannatyne Fitness has given an extra donation of £1,000.
To support the Jacob Fleming Appeal, send a cheque, made payable to Maara, to PO Box 1057, Leicester, LE2 3GZ, or call (0116) 270 7557.
