A FARMERS' market will be held in Ferryhill shortly as part of the town's Christmas fair.
The market will give the public the chance to buy produce grown or made locally, and will be held on Friday, November 25.
Along with the market there will be a craft fair, fairground rides, street entertainers, a candle-lit procession and the official switch-on of the town's lights.
Farmers will set up their stalls at about 1pm along Church Road and the market will run until around 6pm.
The town council and 2000 Committee are calling for any more local food producers to come along and join the farmers' market.
Anyone interested in holding a stall at the market can contact Karen or Michelle at Ferryhill Town Hall on (01740) 652157.
