PEOPLE in Coundon can go on the buses tomorrow when the CommuniGate bus comes to town.
The bus, which is part of an initiative run by Newsquest (North East) - publisher of The Northern Echo - will be at Teeswalk Community Centre between 9.30am and 4pm.
The bus has Internet access and will also have an Echo reporter on board, and is open to members of the public who wish to discuss community issues or non-profit organisations or individuals who wish to build a website.
The bus is equipped with lap-top computers and seating, and funding has come from Orange and Barclays' local community affairs division.
More than 2,200 non-profit groups have set up websites with CommuniGate.
The bus will be parked outside the centre as part of an information event held by Coundon and Leeholme Community Partnership.
There will be several other groups and organisations there including the Prince's Trust, South Durham Credit Union, the BBC bus and Enterprise Awareness.
