A PUBLIC meeting will be held in Durham tomorrow on plans to create a urology service for County Durham.
It will be in the lecture theatre of the education centre at the University Hospital of North Durham, at 7pm.
The meeting will outline plans for a service treating problems of the kidney, bladder and related organs that will cover County Durham, South Tyneside and Wearside.
It would see inpatient treatment centralised in a 58-bed unit at Sunderland Royal Hospital. The document outlining the proposal is available from the website www.durhamcls-pct.nhs.uk
