BIRD-FRIENDLY households are to be given tips to help keep flying visitors warm during the winter.
Park ranger Ian Graham will show visitors to the Durham County Show site, at Herrington Country Park, how to make winter bird feeders for their gardens.
The event, which starts at 10am on Saturday, is free, but anyone wishing to attend is asked to book a place.
Parking is available at the country park site, off the A183 Chester-le-Street to Sunderland road, near Penshaw Monument.
