THE second phase of the Boro Brick Road has been completed in time for today's Barclays Premiership clash with Manchester United.
More than 1,000 additional bricks have been laid alongside the original 3,000, as part of the club's ongoing celebration to mark the tenth anniversary of Boro's move to the Riverside Stadium.
The Brick Road runs between the statues of Boro legends Wilf Mannion and George Hardwick, in the shadow of the Ayresome Park gates outside the Riverside's main reception.
The project's first phase was laid in time for the opening game of the season against Liverpool.
Bricks were ordered by Boro fans as far afield as Australia, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, the United States, Dubai and Algeria. Their names now lie proudly alongside those of Boro legends such as Juninho, John Hendrie, John Hickton and Bernie Slaven.
It is not too late to be part of the Brick Road. A third phase will be laid in time for Christmas, with the deadline for orders being the end of next month.
Boro Brick Road order forms are available from the MFC Retail stores, stadium reception and the club's official website, www.mfc.co.uk
Brick prices range from £39.95 for a single brick with black lettering to £89.95 for a double brick with gold lettering.
