EAST Durham's annual music festival will draw to close this weekend on what promises to be a high note.
One of the final events of the successful month-long extravaganza to be staged at Peterlee Leisure Centre this evening. Entertainment will be provided by Monument, a five-piece band who play music from the 1950s to the present day.
The show, which begins at 7.30pm, will be hosted by Easington District Council chairwoman Councillor Joyce Maitland and proceeds from the night will go to her chosen charity, Cancer Research.
