A YOUNG Darlington man has successfully completed months of the hardest training in the world to become a Royal Marines Commando.
Michael Evans, 22, celebrated the end of 32 weeks of intensive work at a passing out ceremony held at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marine, Lymstone, in Devon, with 890 Troop.
The former pupil of Branksome School now hopes to join the 45 Commando Royal Marines, based in Arbroath, Scotland.
Marine Evans said: "It's been a fantastic experience and it doesn't stop here."
