A PROFESSIONAL theatre company will visit Newton Aycliffe this winter to perform a pantomime to raise money for a local hospice.
The town's Somerfield store has organised for Chaplins to visit the town's leisure centre on Sunday, December 18, at 6.30pm, for a performance of Cinderella.
Money raised from the show will be donated to Butterwick House Children's Hospice, in Stockton, which supermarket staff adopted as their charity of the year.
The hospice cares for terminally-ill children in the region.
Tickets, priced £7 for adults and £5 concessions, are now on sale for the show at Somerfield in Newton Aycliffe, or from Nicola Fewell at the hospice on (01642) 624231.
The store is also selling tickets for a Christmas raffle to be drawn at the pantomime.
Prizes include a mountain bike, recordable DVD player and a television with a DVD player.
