TWO teenagers were robbed near Stanhope Park in Darlington on Tuesday.
The 15-year-olds were walking along Stanhope Road North at about 8.45pm when they were approached by a older youth who threatened to assault them if they did not hand over their mobile phones.
The boys gave him their phones and the youth made off on a BMX bike.
He is described as about 19-years-old, and was wearing a pale baseball cap and pale top.
Yesterday, police appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
Inspector Alan Watson said: "The police are keen to catch this offender to prevent this happening again."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Durham Police on 0845 60 60 365.
