YOUNG drummers beat a path to the door of Darlington Arts Centre yesterday for a musical workshop.

They picked up expert tips from the Kakatsitsi African drumming group at the event. The group of Ghanaian musicians has visited the town in the past and was back by popular demand for drumming sessions, as well as singing and dancing.

They seek to educate people in the history and social role of traditional African music and promote skills of concentration, teamwork and discipline.
