A PREGNANT woman has spoken of her terror as she was glassed in the face.
Two women have been interviewed by police on Teesside about the unprovoked assault on the 17-weeks pregnant 25-year-old. They have been released on police bail.
Their victim was attacked as she came out of toilets at the Vienna Bar, in Middlesbrough town centre and accidentally bumped into two woman.
The 25-year-old, who does not want to be named, apologised but one of the women lashed out with a glass or a bottle.
"The next thing I knew I was being pulled away, my face covered in blood. It was totally unprovoked, especially as I am pregnant."
The woman, who lives in the West Lane area of Middlesbrough, sustained cuts to her face and chest, but did not require stitches.
She had been for a night out with her partner and had visited the toilets, before leaving the premises.
PC Nick See, of Cleveland Police, said: "The victim received some nasty injuries in this attack which needed hospital treatment. The attack was carried out by a woman and I would urge anyone who was at the club and may have seen this incident, to make contact.''
Witnesses to the incident, which happened at about midnight on October 15, are asked to contact police on (01642) 303126.
