A BUSY road will be closed while a bridge is replaced at the weekend.
Traffic will be banned from part of Ladgate Lane, in Middlesbrough, as the £500,000 scheme goes ahead.
The road will be closed from 6pm on Friday until 7am next Monday, and cars will be diverted via Marton Road, Longlands Road and Cargo Fleet Lane.
The work is being carried out by Network Rail, which is also installing a road and footpath deck at Nunthorpe level crossing on Guisborough Road, Nunthorpe.
The crossing will be closed to traffic from 11pm on Friday, until 7am next Monday. Traffic will be diverted via Nunthorpe bypass (A1043).
Andrew Hinton, of Network Rail, said: "The renewal of Ladgate Lane bridge and work at Nunthorpe level crossing form part of Network Rail's commitment to rebuild Britain's railways. I would like to thank motorists in advance for their understanding during this work."
