Ferryhill Athletic have been unable to fulfil their fixtures in recent weeks.
But, they returned to action on Saturday afternoon and were rewarded with a draw against Ryhope CW.
The point was enough to see Ferryhill move off the bottom spot.
Their first point of the season was sufficient enough to edge them above Coxhoe Athletic who lost.
Scott Phillips was an early marksman but Christopher Errington levelled.
Mark Davidson gave the Wearsiders the lead before John Agar struck to level.
Coxhoe lost 4-2 at home to New Marske and are now the only side without a point.
They scored in the first minute courtesy of Stephen Clifford, but conceded four before Philip Best struck on 90 minutes.
Gary Hitchin levelled for the Seasiders and Mattie Johnson made it 2-1 before two goals in three minutes by John Outhwaite near the end, ended the hopes of Coxhoe.
Nissan SSC Sunderland are third from the basement after going down 3-1 to visitors Whitehaven.
Kirk Hardy netted from the sport for Nissan.
Birtley Town remain out in front and are now eight points clear of Cleadon SC who were on cup duty.
The leaders left it late before defeating Windscale by a single goal.
It was scored from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute by Steve Hamil.
Cleadon SC bowed out of the Durham Challenge Cup when they lost 3-1 to Northern Alliance Premier Division side Murton CW.

However, Murton quickly restored parity.
Philip Shakespeare was near to a second goal for Cleadon but Andy Dobell clinched Murton's place in the next round with a brace of goals.
