A TEESSIDE school has received a glowing report from Ofsted inspectors.
Northfield School and Sports College in Billingham was declared outstanding in seven categories and good in the remaining 17.
The highest achieving areas included pupil behaviour, commitment to the community, equal opportunity, special needs support, school self-evaluation, effective target setting and contribution of the governing body.
Teaching and learning were both judged to be of high quality, which was demonstrated by the recent GCSE results.
The school gained an A* rating in national league tables after 99.5 per cent of year 11 pupils gained five or more A* to G grades.
