New hours for tourist centres: Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's three tourist information centres have switched to winter opening hours.
The office at Station Square, Saltburn, will open Tuesdays to Fridays, 9am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 5pm, Saturdays, 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5pm. Gisborough Priory's office will open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 9am to noon and 12.30pm to 5pm, Fridays 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Redcar's Esplanade office will open Mondays to Thursdays, 9am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 5pm, Fridays 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm.
SEASONAL CHANGE: Saltburn Woodland Centre will celebrate the passing of British Summer Time by reviving the Pageant of Life, after a break of five years. It will be on Sunday, October 30, starting at 5.30pm, from the Cat Nab car park. And, organised by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's countryside ranger Neil Thirkell and the Friends of the Valley, there are craft sessions to make lanterns and percussion instruments at the Woodland Centre on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm.
OLD SONGS: SureStart staff in Redcar and Cleveland are holding a Nostalgia Night. The evening of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s is taking place at Redcar Rugby Club on Saturday, at 7.30pm. Entry is £5 and includes hot food and a raffle.
