THE road that will link the multi-million pound Middlehaven development to the rest of Middlesbrough was opened yesterday.
The Middlehaven interchange was the largest highway project to take place in Middlesbrough for a number of years.
The work has been carried out as part of the regeneration project along the Tees, which aims to reposition Middlesbrough on a global stage and open the area up to new businesses.
The works include a bridge linking Borough Road directly with Shepherdson Way, as well as an extra eastbound lane on the A66 between the interchange and the Cargo Fleet roundabout.
