A MAN with a distinctive mark on the right side of his face and a tattoo on his right arm is being sought in connection with a rape.
The attack occurred more than a year ago in Gateshead, but detectives yesterday renewed their appeal in an attempt to catch the man.
They have reissued an e-fit of him.
He is believed to have attacked a 41-year-old woman outside the derelict Glencoe House, near council offices in Shibdon Way, Blaydon, Newcastle.
The incident occurred at about midnight on August 1 last year when he allegedly forced her into the entrance of a garden.
He is described as white, 6ft, stocky and bald. He was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt with dark trousers and white shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives on 0191-454 7555, ext 64546.
