A RECRUITMENT agency is promoting the benefits of the North-East through its new website.
Middlesbrough marketing agency and recruitment supplier Pearsons is promoting the region's assets through its Talent North-East site.
Hundreds of people considering a job in the public sector are logging on to www.talentnortheast.co.uk each week to find out about living and working in the North- East.
Many of the public sector vacancies available across North-East will appeal to people from outside the region.
However, potential employees frequently have little or no knowledge about the region. The website provides information about moving, living and working in the region, from schools, housing, transport and entertainment. Chief executive Simon Pearson said: "We recognise that it can be difficult to attract skilled employees to a region if they have no understanding of what that region has to offer. North-East England is an exceptional place to live and work and Talent North-East is designed to provide the kind of lifestyle information that people who are thinking about relocating will find invaluable and persuasive."
Pearsons' website is in line with its support of regional development agency One NorthEast's Passionate People, Passionate Places campaign.
Pearsons employs 96 people in its Middlesbrough and Leeds offices, has a £24m turnover and offers marketing communications and recruitment solutions.
