VILLAGERS in Osmotherley are being urged to put pen to paper as part of a major survey of the parish.
The community's Parish Plan has been launched with the delivery of a questionnaire to all the local households in the community.
Everyone over the age of 11 is being asked for their views on how the village should develop.
Commissioned by the parish council, the plan is being led by a steering committee of local people to ensure that its results are not influenced by parish council considerations.
The plan, the 13th created in Hambleton, will identify key areas that need addressing, including conservation issues.
"This will be a very important document - it will drive the village forward over the coming years," said steering committee chairman Hugh Thompson.
