LANDSCAPE architect and interior designer Marilyn Elm presents a lecture, Gardens by Design, in Durham, next month.
Her illustrated talk, organised by the Royal Horticultural Society, examines the design principles and issues to be considered in creating an attractive garden.
The lecture takes place at the town hall, in the Market Place, on Thursday, November 17, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available in advance, costing £4, or £3 for society members, from Durham City Council, by ringing 0191-301 8693.
