A FOOTBALL fanatic will see her dream come true today after winning a chance to find out how it feels to score a goal in front of a Premiership crowd.
Thanks to a mobile phone text competition run by Sport England, 16-year-old Middlesbrough fan Amy Grimston will emulate her heroes during a half-time penalty shoot-out at The Riverside.
She will be up against team mascot Rory the Lion during the Premiership match against Portsmouth.
The lucky winner will also get to meet some of the Middlesbrough players and experience VIP treatment throughout the day.
The competition is part of Sport England's Everyday Sport campaign, which is designed to encourage people to build physical activity into their daily lives.
Keen fan Amy said: "I am really excited about this afternoon's game. Having supported Middlesbrough for as long as I can remember, it really is a dream come true for me to be on the pitch at The Riverside and unbelievable that I will actually be kicking for goal."
