A FAST-GROWING IT company in North Yorkshire has doubled the size of its offices and is expanding its workforce.
Richmond-based thecitysecret, which designs bespoke computer software for some of the world's top investment banks, has outgrown its converted school site in Zetland Square, Dundas Street.
With new clients, extra staff and a projected rise in turnover this year to more than £1m, the company has taken on an extra 1,300sq ft of office space in the former parish rooms next door.
The extra space will provide an administrative area and meeting rooms equipped with the latest IT equipment and video conferencing links.
Martin Worner, who set up thecitysecret almost five years ago, sees the move as essential to the company's growth.
"We started out with only two members of staff working from a small first-floor office in the market place.
"From there we moved to the old school but now with 21 employees and plans for further recruitment we have quickly outgrown the space," he said.
"Leasing the building next door means that we will be able to accommodate this expansion while retaining our existing town centre location."
