Darlington Rotary Club has praised the top fundraiser in the borough's 10km run.
Simon MacConachie raised £530 for the event's chosen charities, the Friends of Darlington Memorial Hospital and St Teresa's Hospice.
Mr MacConachie, who runs the Chevrolet franchise at Sherwoods' Chestnut Street dealership, finished in 56 minutes. It was the first time he had entered.
Sherwoods have been the main sponsor for three years and it is the 14th year Rotary has worked with Darlington Borough Council to organise the road run.
