Britain's second-largest caravan park operator has confirmed it is in takeover talks.
Newcastle-based Parkdean Holidays plc, which has 20 sites in Cornwall, Scotland, Wales and Norfolk, said in a statement that it was in talks which could lead to it being taken over.
The company said discussions already underway may or may not lead to an offer being made.
Parkdean has almost 10,000 camping lots and almost 3,000 caravan or mobile home rentals, as well as lodges and apartments at some resorts.
Amenities at most sites include bars, bowling alleys, swimming pools and supermarkets.
