PLANS to change the community warden service on Teesside have been deferred.
Councillors in Stockton will decide on November 3 whether changes should be made to the service to make it more aggressive and efficient.
Members have been given the option to scrap the warden service, keep it the same, or reduce the number of wardens, but give them greater powers to deal with anti-social behaviour and street crime.
At last week's Stockton Borough Council cabinet meeting, members decided to defer a decision until clarification of funding for the next financial year.
The next cabinet meeting will be on November 3.
