A WESTERN-BORN Buddhist Lama will visit next week.
Lama Jampa Thaye, master of Tibetan Buddhism, will give a talk called the Path of Awakening at the St Robert's Centre, in Harrogate, on October 21, from 7.30pm.
He is visiting as part of celebrations marking the Kagyu Dechen Dzong Buddhist Centre's second year in Harrogate.
Centre co-ordinator Howard Quinn said: "Lama Jampa Thaye is one of only a tiny handful of westerners recognised as a master of Tibetan Buddhism, so it is a great honour for Kagyu Dechen Dzong to host his visit.
"We are delighted that he has accepted our invitation to come and teach."
