CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save a landmark Darlington hotel which is to be demolished are to launch an appeal against the decision.
Protestors will fight a decision by Darlington Borough Council to demolish the White Horse, in North Road, and replace it with 55 apartments.
The Save the White Horse group has called another meeting for local residents.
Gill Cartwright, who with husband, Mike, set up the campaign group, said: "The primary reason is to discuss the next stage in our fight to stop the proposed development.
"Just because planning permission has been granted does not mean this fight is over.
"We will start collecting signatures and finalising plans to demand a public inquiry."
The meeting is tomorrow, at 7.30pm, in Whessoe Parish Centre, North Road.
