A CHARITY is appealing for volunteers to be scared senseless this Halloween by joining its next fundraising event.
The Royal National Institute of the Blind is holding an eerie outing to Killhope, The North of England Lead Mining Museum, in Weardale, later this month.
The visit will include a tour of the mine and a forest walk with paranormal investigator Chris Huff, on Sunday, October 23, from 4pm.
Only 25 places are available and all participants will be challenged to raise £50 for the charity, and there is an £8 entry fee.
All funds raised will go to the charity's efforts to support adults and children with serious sight problems in the region. For details, or to register, call (01388) 528297.
