A PRISONER escaped from a North-East police station at the weekend.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman confirmed last night that the 26-year-old Sunderland man escaped from Southwick police station, in the city, at 4.45am on Saturday.
She said no one was injured in the incident.
The man had been charged with minor offences and he was not considered to be a significant risk to the public, she said.
