A TEAM of building society staff took on the challenge of scaling 24 peaks in 24 hours to raise money for charity.
Peter Rowley, Jeremy Horner, Robert Murphy, Mark Woodcock, Richard Dyke, Jude Campbell and Dave Baker from Darlington Building Society raised more than £5,500 for the National Deaf Children's Society by taking part in the Attentiv 24 challenge, in the Lake District.
The team was one of 19 taking part in the event, which finished at Lake Windermere, and raised £120,000 for the charity.
Alex Brooks-Johnson, the charity's challenge events manager, said: "Every day in the UK two babies are born deaf and most are born to hearing parents with no experience of deafness. None of our work would be possible without the commitment of people like those at Darlington Building Society."
