A DEVELOPMENT offering affordable housing has been opened.
Six homes have been built by Broadacres Housing Association in Askrigg, Wensleydale, to help people say in the area.
The homes were opened by Richmondshire district councillor Yvonne Peacock.
She said: "It is a much-needed development and I am very pleased that we are now seeing local families able to stay in the area, or moving back, thanks to these lovely new homes."
After the ceremony, tenant Elizabeth Guy invited guests to look round her new home.
The scheme was supported by Askrigg Parish Council, the district council and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
