STUDENTS have created a tourist guide to some of North Yorkshire's spookiest attractions.
The Rough Guide to the Legend and Mystery of North Yorkshire links a host of heritage sites to ghosts, druids and even the devil.
The areas surveyed included the Druids Temple at Masham, the Devil's Arrows at Boroughbridge, Janet's Foss at Skipton, Brimham Rocks and Bolton Abbey.
Twenty-five young people from across North Yorkshire have worked on the guide.
The project has been funded by Young Roots, part of the Heritage Lottery Fund, and organised by Connecting Youth Culture, North Yorkshire County Council's youth service.
Co-ordinator Charlie Toot-hill said: "We wanted the young people to look at the county's heritage but also take a slightly different slant away from the usual tourist spots.
"So we looked at places steeped in legend, mystery, and ghost stories."
