PLANS to reorganise acute healthcare in the Teesside area will be discussed at two public meetings.
Residents are invited to meetings at Sedgefield Parish Hall, Sedgefield village, on Monday, and The Red Lion, Trimdon village, on Thursday, October 20, both from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The proposed changes, which focus on hospital services in Stockton and Hartlepool, have been mooted by Professor Sir Ara Darzi.
Chairwoman, of the joint committee, which has been set up to lead the consultation and implement any changes, Ann O'Hanlon, said: "This is an important period for everyone who uses hospital services in our area."
A leaflet setting out Prof Darzi's findings is available from Sedgefield Primary Care Trust on 0191-301 3820.
