JOBS at a Newcastle office could be under threat after Aon, the world's second-largest insurance broker, announced it was to axe 750 positions in the UK over the next two years.
The US-based firm, which employs 6,800 workers in the UK, said its specialty unit and risk services divisions would be hardest hit.
The firm has a risk management services base at Higham Place, in Newcastle.
Aon has pledged to consult staff affected by the job cuts at the end of this month.
