PUBLIC demand has led to the repeat of an exhibition of Second World War relics.
The exhibition will be staged in Barnard Castle Methodist Church next Thursday, from 10.30am to 2pm, following its success at Middleton-in-Teesdale.
Lunches, consisting of wartime fare such as spam sandwiches, will be served during the event, which is being organised by the Craft Works group.
Exhibits will include a gas mask, steel helmet, ration book, clothing coupons, Home Guard photographs and recipes.
Visitors will also be invited to record their wartime memories.
Tony Noble from Craft Works will be visiting primary schools in the area to show the relics, talk about the impact of the war on Teesdale and help the pupils to create a replica air raid shelter.
