THE Princess Royal will be the guest of honour at the launch of a cinema commercial about mental illness among children and their families.
Pupils from the Thornhill Business and Enterprise School, in Sunderland, acted in the commercial, which will be shown throughout the UK after the launch at the city's Cineworld on Tuesday.
The cinema commercial marks the work of the Take a Stand Campaign (Tasc).
The organisation was formed in 2003 and is supp-orted by the National Institute for Mental Health in England.
The Sunderland Tasc challenges the stigma people with mental health problems and their families face.
The organisation helped pupils to make the commercial.
The pupils also produced a short "anti-stigma" video, which will be incorporated into teaching packs in local schools.
The commercial has been nominated for the Royal Television Society Awards.
