SOME of the leading motor experts in the world will gather in Sunderland today for its eighth annual International Automotive Conference.
The event, organised by the city council, will include a presentation by Claudio Bianchini, director of the National Research Centre, in Italy, on alternative fuel and energy technologies.
The presentation will look at groundbreaking hydrogen fuel cell technology that runs on ethanol.
The conference will also be attended by Trevor Mann, deputy-managing director of Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK, and Professor Garel Rhys, director of the Centre for Automotive Research in Cardiff.
The conference takes place today and tomorrow at the Stadium of Light, in Sunderland. The green fuels presentation will be tomorrow at 11am.
