A FUN day with a host of activities featuring the arts will be held in a children's centre tomorrow.
Chester-le-Street District Council's arts development team, Buttercup Nurseries and SureStart are putting on an Arts Family Learning Fun Day at Bullion Lane Children's Centre, Chester-le-Street.
It is aimed at children up to five years, accompanied by a parent, guardian or grandparent.
The main focus will be on parents and children learning together through play, music, storytelling and creative activities. Ways of playing imaginatively will be explored.
The programme for the day includes puppetry, music and storytelling. Music in the morning, provided by Musical Minis, will be a fun introduction to music and percussion.
Throughout the day, StoryChest will entertain with their original stories, exploring basic numeracy and literacy.
The free event has two sessions, from 10am to noon and from 1pm to 3pm.
For information and to book a place, call Sally Dixon, arts activities assistant, on 0191-389 5090.
