AN MP has praised villagers who organised an event as part of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Ashok Kumar, MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, who attended the coffee morning in the community centre at Boosbeck, east Cleveland, said: "There is a great community spirit in our villages.
"Cancer sufferers and their families will appreciate what is being done for them - it is neighbourliness at its best."
Kath Jackson was the main organiser of the fundraising event.
