BUDDING actors took to the stage for one final rehearsal before taking part in a Shakespeare Festival this week.
Children from Hurworth School Maths and Computing College, near Darlington, have created their own abridged version of Macbeth.
They will perform it during the festival at Stockton Arc on Wednesday, which has performances by seven schools.
Hurworth pupils began rehearsing for the 30-minute production in June, and took part in practices and theatrical workshops during the summer.
English and drama teacher Anne Timney, who has organised the production, said everyone has worked very hard.
"The children have really enjoyed taking part, and even came into school during the summer to rehearse," she said.
"Everyone has worked so hard, and is really looking forward to Wednesday night. It's all really starting to come together now, and hopefully will go just as we've planned."
The festival is on Wednesday from 7pm to 10pm. Tickets are available from the box office on (01642) 525199.
