FAMILIES will next week get a chance to pick up tips on the benefits of healthy living.
Hartlepool Central Library, in York Road, has lined up a week of events as part of national Family Learning Week.
There will be workshops and displays aimed at helping people boost their health and wellbeing.
They include an arts and crafts workshop next Monday, by the adult education team, from 10am to 11.30am and noon to 1.30pm, when visitors can find out how hobbies can help relaxation and reduce your stress levels. Places must be booked in advance.
On Tuesday, October 11, a healthy snacks workshop will take place from 10am to 11.30am and 12.30pm to 2pm, when people can get tips for making healthy snacks. Places must be booked in advance.
On Wednesday, October 12, there will be displays on healthy living between 2pm and 5pm.
On Thursday, October 13, Hartlepool College of Further Education is holding displays on health in the workplace, from 9am to noon and 1pm to 4pm.
Jane Aiken, reference and information officer at the library, said: "You should never take good health for granted. These events are a real mine of information for people of all ages, with tips and advice to help you stay healthy and happy."
