GRANDPARENTS had the chance to turn back the clock when a school opened its doors.
To mark Grandparents' Week, Framwellgate Moor Primary School, in Durham City, invited the grandmothers and grandfathers of pupils to spend time at the school.
They were able to look round and take part in activities to see how things have changed.
Some took part in a presentation to dinner lady Violet Field, herself the grandmother of a child at the school.
She received gifts and cards on Friday to mark the 30th anniversary of her starting work at the school.
The school has 204 pupils aged four to 11 and also a nursery that has places for 39 younger children.
