Spennymoor play their first game in the FA Vase when they face Crook Town at the Brewery Field.
The old Moors club made North-East history when they reached the semi-finals of the more senior FA Trophy in 1978, but manager Ken Houlahan knows his side have a difficult task today.
"We've already played Crook in the league this season and we know that we're in for a tough game," he said.

Darlington RA return to the competition after a 15-year absence when they go to Pontefract and they miss midfielder Jamie Chapman because of injury.
Durham boss Andy Gowens won the Vase with Whitley Bay three seasons ago and his side face Trafford, who lost to Whitby in a midweek FA Cup replay. Chris Copeland is added to the squad.
Shildon are at home to Alnwick, and include new striker Danny Leicester, who has been playing for the Combined Services. Midfielder Brian Wood is suspended, while Rob Bowman and Jason Newell will have fitness tests.
West Auckland have a tricky tie at Washington. West are missing several players, while player-manager David Bayles, Danny Key and Adam Reid will all have fitness tests. Washington have doubts over David Anderson and Gareth McKenna.
Consett face Worsborough Bridge from the Northern Counties East League. They miss leading scorer Scott MacDonald, while there will be fitness tests for defender David Johnson and midfielder Stephen Brown.
Brandon go to Squires Gate, near Blackpool, and include youngster Scott Nattress, but they are missing four players. Trevor Hawthorne has a fitness test.
Norton are hoping build on their midweek cup win over Darlington Reserves at home to Sheffield and include midfielder Shay White, signed from local football. Graeme Baverstock returns.
Seaham Red Star, going well in the ANL second division, have a tough home tie against division one leaders Newcastle Blue Star, and will give a fitness test to midfielder Mark Lawton. Star are without Phil Hildreth, Craig Russell, Christian Graham and Chris Neil because of injury. Jon Cullen is doubtful.
Sunderland Nissan face the 2002 winners Whitley Bay and include new signing Dominic Rice.
* In the Arngrove Northern League, Tow Law are looking for revenge at Jarrow Roofing after a midweek defeat.
Lawyers lost 5-2 to Roofing on Tuesday in the Durham Challenge Cup after leading 2-0. Manager Graeme Clark said; "We looked like Real Madrid for the first 20 minutes and real rubbish after that."
Clark includes new midfielder Carl Pepper, while midfielder Steve Banks and striker Scott Emmerson return.
Roofing, top scorers in the division, will give defender Andy Davies and striker Andy Allen fitness tests.
Bedlington, who haven't lost since the opening day of the season, can go second if they beat Billingham Town. Midfielders Gareth McAlindon and Robbie Cockburn will probably return, while Town welcome back Chris Emms, Jamie Clarke and Robbie Hutchinson, but Stephen Flockett is missing.
Dunston include new signing Ian Dixon in their squad at home to Chester-le-Street. Striker Benn Thompson is out long term with a broken ankle. Defenders Kane Young and Billy Irwin are injured.
Bottom-of-the-table Esh Winning, who have yet to win this season, are at home to Billingham Synthonia.
Manager Vince Kirkup is without several players, but new signing Rob Southern plays in defence and Graham Carter returns to midfield. Synners are without defender Adam McMahon, who has a hamstring injury.
In the second division, Kennek Ryhope CA can move out of the bottom two if they win at North Shields and have a doubt over striker Gareth Hill. Defender Paul Wardle will have a fitness test.
Bottom club Guisborough can move off the bottom if they beat third-bottom Peterlee at the King George. They include keeper Danny Yates, signed from Esh Winning.
Northallerton are at Ryton without midfielder Ross Diamond, who has an achilles injury.
Horden are at Wearside League club Jarrow in the Durham Challenge Cup and are missing keeper Phil Naisbitt, so Paul Pringle replaces him.
