A CHARITY shop worker is to be reunited with her Australian penpal of more than 50 years next week.
Maragaret Pitt, 64, from Marske, will meet up with Margaret Hogg, 65, at Edinburgh Airport on October 5. It is ten years since the pair, who started writing as teenagers, last met up.
"I'm really looking forward to it," said Mrs Pitt, who works in the Red Cross charity shop in Redcar.
"We haven't seen each other for so long. She is looking forward to seeing where I work and is interested in visiting Whitby and York too."
This is only the fourth time the friends have met up since they began writing and once again Margaret will stay with her friend for two weeks at her home in Marske.
