VISITORS to a fundraising event in York got more than just a cup of coffee yesterday.
Browns Department Store organised a lingerie show as part of the Macmillan Cancer Relief World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The event raised £250 for the charity.
The store's merchandise controller, Karen Dhir, said: "We support the Macmillan event every year, but we always try to do something different.
"There were a lot of different cup sizes on show - something for everyone."
Airmen and women from RAF Linton-on-Ouse joined in the fundraising effort yesterday.
They attended an event organised by village residents Mary and Derek Watson.
Mary, 77 decided to organise the event, in the village hall, because of her admiration of the Macmillan nurses who looked after husband Derek as he battled against prostate cancer.
Derek, also 77, is now in remission.
Flight Sergeant Jill Hancock, who is part of RAF Linton's contract monitoring team, said: "I think it's important to support village events because I live here and feel the station to be an integral part of the community."
