THE family of a man who died in a tragic accident are in training ready to run for charity in his memory.
Richard Boston died of head injuries aged 36 after a fall at his home in Catterick Village in August.
Despite his family still coming to terms with the loss, they are determined the death will not be in vain.
Later this month, his partner, Debbie Parkinson, sister Katrina George and Katrina's husband, Robert, will run the Richmond Castle 10km to raise money for brain injury association, Headway.
Mrs George said: "Richard's death was a freak accident that has left us shocked and totally devastated.
"We felt a really strong desire to do something for charity in his memory and Headway seemed the obvious choice.
"We've got T-shirts printed with a picture of Richard and Richie's Angels written across the front, so everyone will know why we're doing it and who we're doing it for.
"I've heard from people that this is a really tough race and we've not really had that long to prepare for it.
"But the generosity of people and businesses around us has been fantastic - that's been a real motivating factor."
Anyone wishing to sponsor the runners can visit The Bay Horse, in Catterick Village, or call (01748) 811383.
