A FARRIER from Yarm has had a successful time at the inaugural Oatbridge College Farriery Challenge, in Scotland.
Stephen Beane secured a one, two, three in the competition which took place in the West Lothian countryside.
He hammered his way to first in the open gas forging class, second in the hunter shoeing section and third in the roadster class.
His success earned him £225 and a bottle of Famous Grouse Whisky.
